I took the wardrobe refashion pledge – for life!

After a a four month pledge and then a little break I have decided to take the plunge and sign on for LIFE, yay!

The Pledge

I _Karlene_ pledge that I shall abstain from the purchase of “new” manufactured items of clothing, for life. I pledge that i shall refashion, renovate, recycle preloved items for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract. I pledge that I will share the love and post a photo of my refashioned, renovated, recycled, crafted or created item of clothing on the Wardrobe Refashion blog, so that others may share the joy that thy thriftiness brings! I didn’t find it hard at all to avoid buying new clothes. What was hard was trying to have something to post every week! Now I’m committed.

    Hi Karlene, i have been shortening some long skirts and long dresses that i never wear and now wear them with black leggings and a belt. Also have shortened summer weight trousers to 3/4 pants. I feel like i have a new wardrobe! regards Cathy from Napier.

    Hi Cathy, good idea, I have been doing something similar myself, I get a new short skirt and a piece of matching fabric to make something else!
    Have just posted some of your pictures of the scarf fairy skirts ๐Ÿ™‚

    Interestingly enough the wardrobe refashion site is about to undergo some major changes including a small subscription fee for each 2 month sign up. Not sure what that will mean for us lifers, will have to wait and see.
